Set-up for the first series of runs (1 thru 5):
mains: fronts-160's, rears-170's (don't ask me - the Swarbrick's just jet out staggered like this)
pilots: #20
needles: stock - position #3
needle jets: P-3 (RG 400)
float height: 17 MM
air screw: 1 1/2 turns
ignition: stock timing

Set-up #1
filter: K&N RB-0910 in the air box, tank lifted 3/8", trunks in place with no screens (my filter set-up).
The flat spot between 5000 & 6500 was not noticable on the dyno, but has plagued me on the street. I've chased it as an ignition problem though as subsequent runs seem to bare out it seems to be a function of filtration/carburation.
Set-up #3
filter: twin K&N's in the box (Bob T.'s kit), (as above)
The twin K&N's DO NOT like WFO on the dyno at less than 6000 RPM . The 3rd pull was in the 2nd green bar. I had Bob's kit on the street for awhile and noticed this exact effect. This set-up really hangs on to HP after the peak though. It had the highest readings at 11 & 11.5. More on this later ..........
Set-up #4
filter: single jumbo K&N in the box (Randy's old set-up), (as above)
Very similar to Set-up #1, but nominally stronger above 10,000. The filter's a little larger.
Set-up #5
filter: none (I simply pulled the big K&N, snapped the tank back down and sucked from a big hollow air box), (as above)
This graph is schizophrenic!!!!! It has like a SERIES of baby peaks all the way up the curve! You have to see this chart to believe it. Big flat spot and a hole between 8 & 9000 RPM. Clearly my motor does not like having no filter at the end of the trunks!!

Set-up for the second series of runs (6 thru 9):
mains: 230
(all other settings - as above)
Set-up #6
filter: Uni pods (aka Rick Lance kit), (not applicable), side panels not in place
Nice linear pull. Strong on the low & mid range. Tapering a little at the very top.
Set-up #7
filter: Uni pods, (not applicable), side panels in place
Mostly as above. It was not my intent to run the Uni's without side panels (Set-up #6), but I did so I include it as a reference.
Set-up #8
filter: K&N's (4 - on the carbs) - 3" diameter x 2" long (can't remember the part #), (not applicable)
Mirror the Uni's almost exactly despite having less net filter area.
Note: these filters could not be used on the front carbs with the side panels in place as they would need to be shortened likely to the point of restricting flow to the front carbs. A shorter length and a commensurately larger diameter would need to be substituted as clearances would allow!
Set-up #9
filter: none (simple open carbs), (not applicable)
Matches or beats most everything except dual K&N's in the box - and then only on the over-rev!

Set-up for the Set-up #10
mains: 110
(all other settings - as above)
Set-up #10
filter: as delivered from Suzuki with screens and that rubber silencer thing stuck in the top! Tank lowered back down.
